We are a AU wizarding school site based very loosely on Harry Potter. We allow only original characters but the houses you may be sorted into are the same. Here we believe that with a little bit of magic and charm anyone can make it as a wizard so why not see what might await you?
Megara had just finished with a meeting, gotten home, and showered before she was leaving again. ’There’s no food in this house!’ she thought, before responding to herself with a rational thought of ’at least nothing I actually want to eat.’ Then again, it’s not like the things she liked to eat could really constitute as a meal. It was a miracle the woman managed to keep her petite frame and wasn’t 600 pounds, what with all the candy, cookies, chips, and junk food that made up the majority of her diet. Although sure that her metabolism would slow to a crawling halt within a decade or so, Meg had already decided and accepted that she was just going to ride this train until it crashed. Today, she was craving ice cream, although that could be said for probably six out of seven days of the week. Ice Cream was her favorite food, and probably made up a good 50-60% of her shitty diet. The girl would drink milkshakes all day everyday if she could. And there were times, that she did just that. Mild lactose intolerance be damned.
Florean Fortescue’s was, of course, the place to go for ice cream in Diagon Alley. Were there even any other options? It didn’t matter, as she quite enjoyed the atmosphere as the quaint little ice cream parlor . Even if there was another option, it would be unlikely that Megara would choose it. The shop wasn’t extremely busy this time of year, the brisk spring wind still a little too chilly for people to want to stop for ice cream. She never had that thought, herself; the red haired witch would eat ice cream even in a blizzard. Although, it was enough for Meg to decide to sit inside instead of out on the patio. Stepping inside, she ordered a rather large serving of lemon ice cream, her absolute favorite, inside of a waffle cone. Before accepting the cone from the friendly server, she did have the foresight to zip up her cargo jacket, covering the white t-shirt that she wore underneath. She rarely wore white for a reason – that reason being she knew her clumsy self well, and knew that if she wore it she was bound and determined to spill something on it. After paying and accepting her treat/dinner, she turned to find a table where she could sit and read and enjoy her lemon ice cream in peace. Instead, the quick turn caused her to accidentally bump into someone she didn’t previously notice standing behind her. The jarring caused the already loose grip she had on the cone in her hand to slip completely, and she watched helplessly as the cone and its contents crashed to the floor. “Aww.” The grown woman couldn’t help but pout for a second before quickly lifting her gaze to address whoever it was she had just bumped into. “Are you okay? Did any of it get on you?” She asked, already reaching for the nearest napkin dispenser.

The days were busy and with the season of summer coming into full swing Kyle was trying his best to get out more but it was not because he felt bad it was simply because he knew that soon the students that chose too would be able to come home and that was fine. He had stepped out for what to him seemed like seconds but in reality it had been a few hours and he shook his head when he realized who he had ran into. Kyle sighed and went on.
Kyle "Meg, right?"
He shook his head and spoke again.
Kyle "I am right as rain but we simply must stop bumping into one another like this. I am starting to think that you might be doing it on purpose no?"
When Megara realized who she had bumped into she felt her face flush lightly in embarrassment. She felt it heat her face even more so when he began to speak, insinuating that she was running into him on purpose. Meg couldn’t tell if he was joking or not.
She let her eyes graze over him to make sure that she had not in fact spilled any of the ice cream on him.
"Not on purpose. Although I can’t say I’m upset by it.”

Kyle "Being upset by it would be a waste of the air we breathe. How are you Meg?"
He did not know if he cared or if he just thought that she was the closest thing that he was ever going to have as a friend so he needed to care. It was hard to know the line between the two but it was also a fun line to have at times.
Kyle "Every time that I think we might be breaking ground I imagine you pull yourself into your work which is understood especially as a man who does the same but yes to the here and now, how are you?"
The corner of Megara’s mouth lifted in a small smile. “Besides my dinner hitting the floor? I’m doing…well.”
She had pulled out her wand in order to clean the mess she had made on the floor of the ice cream parlor, quickly erasing the evidence of her clumsiness. When he spoke about how she pulled herself into her work, pulling herself away from their budding friendship at the same time, she scratched the back of her neck nervously.
Meg was very work oriented, anyone with eyes or ears could tell you that, and they could also tell that she was rather reserved with very few friends. “Sorry about that; work is my number one priority, and I struggle to balance it most of the time. What about you, Kyle? How have you been since we last spoke?"

Kyle "I understand that it is the same with me but when I can get out I do hence today. As for me I have been pretty good actually and as you probably have picked up on I do well to get out and with the weather warming up that makes it even harder to stay inside so here I am. I also wanted to let you know that I do hope that you are doing well. I know that we do not speak as often as we should but still you have nothing but my most well of wishes."
